The state of Oklahoma loves its classic cars, especially hot rods. Many groups exist for car enjoyment, showing, and knowledge exchange. These groups hold frequent meetings, car shows, and parades. This list gets you started with the top five car groups in the state.

Classic Cars of Ponca City


​You can make the drive to Ponca City for these meetings dedicated to all classic cars. This wide-ranging independent group “dedicated to the enjoyment of the automobile” maintains an online presence and holds regular meetings. Established in 1982, it charges $15 per year. Cafe Cruisers


Founded in 2000, this classic car and hot rod group meets in Hugo, OK. The group includes classic car owners and those with an interest in hot rods, custom cars, and the process of restoring or rebuilding vehicles. Its meetings typically have 20 or fewer individuals and provide an amicable environment for learning and enjoyment.

Almost Ready to Cruise Car Club


​Founded in 1988, the Almost Ready to Cruise Car Club welcomes all individuals with an interest in cars, trucks, and “just about anything with an engine.” The group meets a few times per year. An independent group, it charges an annual $5 fee. With an average annual membership of 35 members, its only requirement is that each member must have an interest in cars and trucks. Central Oklahoma Classic Chevy Club


​Visit the Central Oklahoma Classic Chevy Club if you own a classic Chevy or GMC automobile, or you have an interest in these vehicles. The group is a local chapter of a larger antiques and classics car group. It once specialized in only model years 1955 to 1957. This 67 member group meets monthly in Norman, OK. The Chickasha Antique Auto Club


​Founded on January 9, 1969, The Chickasha Antique Auto Club dedicates itself to the “history and preservation of antique automobiles and all other early transportation.” Club headquarters at the Rock Island Depot also include a transportation museum. The Auto Club charges annual dues of $10 for individuals and $15 for couples. It also fundraises each year by holding a spring and fall Antique Auto Swapmeet. The only requirement for membership is the love of antique cars. This group holds at least three events per year and meets each month on the fourth Tuesday of the month. It promotes parades, car shows, and tours, as well as, supporting a local homeless mission and donating to church groups and other non-profits.
